After excavating the trench, the prefabricated sections of ductile iron pipe should be arranged in order from the outlet towards the interior according to the direction of water flow. The prefabricated sections should then be gradually placed into the working pit for the jointing area, and the main outlet should be sealed off securely with temporary supports in place. According to the construction drawings, connect the spigot and socket ends of the pipe sections properly. Before placing ductile iron pipes in the trench at the jointing area, first straighten out the pipes using a wooden or thin chisel to ensure even gaps at the spigot and socket joints. Compact any packing material firmly and ensure alignment; both ends of the pipe should be supported with soil to prevent displacement during jointing. It is also necessary to prohibit storing items that can corrode steel near stacking areas; stack bases should be elevated, solidified, and flat to avoid moisture or deformation of materials. Similar materials should be stacked separately according to their order of entry into storage for easier compliance with regulations. For outdoor stacked profile steel, there should be wooden pads or stone strips underneath; stack surfaces should have a slight slope for drainage while ensuring that materials are placed straight to avoid bending or deformation.
